The relationship can sustain if there is transparency, honesty, and trust. When the person starts telling lies, he falls into the trap of the cycle of lies. One lies would lead to the other lies and to cover up his lies one has to go on creating wrong stories.

The first question is why do people lie, there is a possibility that by telling the truth their is a fear of breaking up of the relationship, and the person does not want to repeat the same incident, So to keep the relationship going one would lie about her past.

When the boyfriend knows that his girlfriend is lying, he should understand that there are many reasons a girlfriend would lie 1. She does not want to lose the relationship, 2. She does not have enough faith in him, 3. She is frightened to disclose her past affairs. 4. She does not have confidence in herself. 5 she might be in the relationship just for the sake of sex and shelter.6. She could sense the jealousy in him and avoid the argument she would lie to her boyfriend.

When the boyfriend shows his anxiousness to know the past of his girlfriend, he should keep himself ready that he may get the correct answer or in 90% cases it will be a lie from the other partner.

If the boyfriend knows that the girlfriend is lying about her ex, he should either leave her or give her enough time that she should come out on her own to tell about her past. He should show his faith and trust in her so that she would gain the confidence to disclose her past.

All the men are not the same there are boyfriends who do accept the relationship if the girlfriend is honest and tells all about her past.
