why does Canada require a military

• Canada has a military but what it needs is a well funded military since it is a country on its own and to protect its borders and people a strong militray is needed if any conflict arises.Canadians have not really felt the need to focus too much on their military forces and have not developed a large military force for itself but with the constant increase in terrorist attacks,they need to start focusing on building a strong military to protect their country.
• The Canadian Armed Forces are divided into three specialized branches: the Canadian Army, the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), and the Royal Canadian Air Force which fall under the unified leadership of single commander known as the Chief of the Defence Staff.This was done to streamline the military services in cost effective ways.Today, it results in phenomena such as joint training for new recruits and commanding officers.
• Obviously to maintain a strong and aggressive stance against terrorism Canada needs a stronger military force,which requires more funding to train more people exclusively rather than putting them under the same leadership.Leaner forces will not help them protect their people from future wars.
