10. Explain the ethical dilemma faced by whistleblowing.
Answer)
The whistleblowing reveals the illegal or the unethical activities
which the employees reveal to outsiders or agencies leaking
information which are supposed to stay within the company. There
are many moral and ethical dilemma which can be faced by the
whistleblowing which consists of:
There is manager's and upper management disapproval in
whistleblowing in many cases where the employees' whistleblowing
disrupts the hierarchy of the power in the company.
Co-workers and the same level of the employees may or may not
approve of the decision of the employees' whistleblowing, thus this
can create problems for employees and also the company.
The whistleblowing can affect the employees personally as it can
disrupt his work, he may look bad for what he has done or what his
true intentions were of the whistleblowing.
The loyalty to the company is also being in question as the
employee to blow assessed to blow the whistle or keep quiet.
The credibility of the employee's whistleblowing can get hurt due
to lack of enough proof or wrongdoing proofs and lack of legitimate
evidence which can prove that there were illegal and immoral
activities happening in the company.
