3. It seems surprising that while a majority of Walmart's stores are outside of the U.S. they only produce a relatively small share of its income. How do you explain this phenomenon .
1- Walmart has tried to capture Indian retail market since 2007 but so far its journey is like that of a roller coster. Walmart should try to enter Indian retail market with proper stratgey so that the 1.3 billion people market it can capture. It should make a different business model for Indian market through partnership with indian online retail market. Multibrand retail in India is not allowed for foreign company for more than 25%. But there is no such restriction for e-commerce companies. Amazon is doing awesome in India and os currently 2nd largest e-commerce company in India.
2- These change will bring economy of cost for Walmart and it can accelerate the revenue and rationalize cost to increase the profitability. Walmart can also acquire more customer through this process and the global footprint of walmart can also be increased through this.
3-It denotes that Walmart is not effective and efficient in outside market than US. It has not adopted stratgey which can yield better result for Walmart in global market.
