Apart from above top position other important positions in Apotex are Vice president Global Supply and Technical Operations, Global Intellectual Property and Legal Affairs, Global Regulatory Affairs, VP, Global R&D, SVP, Global Quality & Compliance.
From the above governance and leadership structure of Apotex it can be determined that it is a well-structured structure and it can be identified from it that such structure improves the efficiency of decision making process.
Well-structured governance and leadership structure specifies the manner in which decisions are taken and the manner in which decision-makers are held to accountable for their actions. It can be identified that at Apotex by properly employing the governance structure, the performance of the organization has increased significantly.
I have selected example of Apotex because governance and leadership structure of this organization clearly defines its impact of decision making process. It can be explained as follows:
· The structure ensures that decision-making hierarchy is appropriate and on track, and hence it is proficiently delivering a positive impact on the organization.
· Apotex follows a top down decision making approach i.e. information flows downward. This minimizes the risk of poor decision and failure.
· Governance structure of Apotex has a clearly defined path for decision making. It gives the decision maker authority and efficiency to identify the best for the organization.
· Apotex structure ensures that decision process is standardized based on best practices in pharmaceutical industry.
· This structure ensures that every accountable person have a solid understanding of assigned roles and responsibilities.
