and what is the product? What is the energy source for replication?
What is the other product of replication in addition to additional
nucleotide unit on the growing DNA chain?
What is the definition of DNA replication?
Answer: It is the process of formation of two identical copy of DNA molecule from the one original parental DNA molecule by semiconservative method in all living orgainsms as the basis of biological inheritance.
What is the template, and what is the product?
Answer: Template is the parental strand of DNA over which a complementary DNA or daughter DNA (Product) is synthesized by DNA polymerase enzyme the the process of DNA replication.
What is the energy source for replication?
Answer: The source of energy for replication process comes from the hydrolysis of high energy phosphates (phosphoanhydrides) bonds present between the phosphates in nucleotides.
What is the other product of replication in addition to additional nucleotide unit on the growing DNA chain?
Answer: The product of DNA replication involves the synthesis of new daughter strand on parental strand and final form the two identical copies of DNA molecule which is used in the division of cell to form two daughter cell. During this process the large amount of high energy phosphate containing nucleotides are also synthesise which is used to supply energy in different metabolic activities.
