Expert Solution

1.

It is truly said that social synergies arises when people are working together to co-create each others outcomes and in the present day scenario socio technical systems are most commonly seen to provide both the positive and negative synergies to the candidates participating in the interaction.

It is explained below with the help of examples below :

Example 1 :

In one place socio-technical systems are providing its participants to communicate and collaborate at the real time in this modern technical world whereas on the other side it is also causing some security, privacy and the management issues to organization or the firms which is controlling and managing the projects.

Which means , With the help of such systems we can work together and collaborate with each other for the mutual improvement and can work on the same project on different segment or the same without interfering the outcomes of the others , But this will also cause the project privacy to be revealed to a wide segment of the participants which may cause the organization some problem with the security.

Example 2 :

On one hand it facilitates the organization to handle a big size project efficiently and with low cost and on the other hand it also sometimes hampers the quality of the project due to some failures.

This means that , it becomes easy to handle and manage the large projects through collaborations between the several participants or the several organization and also helps to work at a fast pace but it also degrades the quality of the product sometimes since while considering too many suggestions and coupling them together it is obvious to have low quality sometimes.

Example 3 :

Socio-technical systems provides the organization more and more control over the projects and also helps the users to give feedback on the project. But it also creates loop-holes for the the invaders to invade the privacy and the security of the project.

yes, These systems facilitates the companies with more control over the project for since too many participants are involved in the collaboration so this can cause failure in the whole project if anything fails from even one side ,i.e if any one participant creates any loop-whole,it will hamper the whole project.

Example 4 :

It also gives the candidates the freedom to continuously update the features and also helps the organization to control the versions of the project .But the negative thing is that it also sometimes leads to reliability issues to the organization.

Socio-technical systems provides the feature to control the version of the project but can also have some reliability problem too since even if one of the participant is not honest with the organization it may lead to huge loss to the company.

2.

(a) Network Reliability :

Network reliability is one of the most common challenge faced by internet as a socio-technical system. It can be caused due to any dishonest behavior from any node or the participant of the system.

It may cause the companies involved in the project a huge loss financially or technically and even cause security breach to theirs projects .

It happens due to inter-connection of the nodes and the various section of the project and is very difficult to detect the hole in the security cased from network reliability. It may be either a software problem or may be from the hardware too. But most common is through the controller nodes.

(b) Resilience :

Resilience in the internet means how much is the socio-technical system capable of handling the extreme conditions or situations that may come into the way of the development.

In other words, it refers to the efficiency of the system or the organizational structure to handle the harsh situation and how it overcomes the effect of those circumstances .

For project to succeed the organization or the system must be highly resilient towards the external forces or the internal problems due to external interference.
