Conflict theory suggests that the society is in a perpetual conflict for the limited resources available. This made the majority to introduce certain concepts such as race, colour etc. This has put few people in continuous disadvantage while others have an inbuilt and invisible advantage which was accumulated over many years. People who are socially and economically disadvantaged were made to stay in that way with the limited opportunity available for them. White people carried a false assumption that colour and genes determines superiority thus depriving people of colour from their livelihood. People, if they are provided a suitable and favourable environment would excel in their lives. Today, we see that change is already at the doorsteps of the country where everyone gets equal treatment maybe more than that through affirmative actions.
