Social Learning Theory suggests that people learn most of their behaviours from other people through observation, imitation and modelling. That’s why most people have a role model may be positive or negative. Albert Bandura in his famous Bobo doll experiment proved this theory which falls between the cognitive theory which focuses on thinking and behavioural theory which focuses on the actual practice of the behaviour.
I have always looked observed people for acceptable behaviour mostly from my parents and my friends. There is lots of positivity about this model because most of the people in this world are positive. They console, motivate and bring hope to other people who are in trouble. People who are struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder look at other people and draw inspiration to come out of the stress and live a normal life. There is lots of people around them who sow the seeds of hope and help people with PTDS to come out of the traumatic event.
