how do people react when health professionals hand out brochures on hypertension(400 words)

Solutions

Expert Solution

The first reaction to a brochure on hypertension is resistance. People first feel that the signs of hypertension are simply normal signs experienced during stressful conditions. They feel that everyone has it and that it is normal and may eventually even die off. As a result, they rebuke the information provided in the brochure. Often they may even dispose it of inappropriately right in front of the health professional who is providing them the same.

However, if certain people do decide to keep the brochure safety with them, it is because they relate some other person's behavior indicating hypertension. Then, may either handover the brochure to that someone else or again, simply forget.

Whiles there are few individuals who relate it to themselves, and even though may actually not have hypertension, begin to believe and make others believe, that they have hypertension. This might lead to them visiting the doctors regularly, request for prescriptions and start taking medicines without even taking a second opinion.

However, there are a few who would read the brochure clearly, understand self and his/her loved ones' behavior to notice any such signs. If found, then consult the doctor and confirm the same medically.
