Tensile testing
can someone tell me how to calcualte the true strain,
engineering strain, true stress and engineering stress of the
following data o got from tensile testing machine. I assumed area
to be constant during the test
i need to draw the curves of the true and engineeing in excel
please

Step 1:Divide the applied force by the cross-sectional area to
be able to get applied stress ?. Also, convert to MPa.
2. Graph the stress-strain curve with strain as the abscissa and
stress as the ordinate.
3. Make sure to label the axes with the variable (? or ?) and
the correct units.
4. Add a title....
The results of a tensile test can be evaluated as
either engineering stress-strain curves or true stress-strain
curves. The original cross-sectional area of the tensile test
specimen is used to plot the former one, whereas the instantaneous
cross-sectional area is used for the latter one. Assume that you
are an engineer who needs to design a structural product using a
hypothetical metal A, which should not plastically deform in the
application area. You need to apply a tensile test to...
Explain the stress- strain curve. Include the
differences between the elastic and plastic region and how does
this relate to material components of the body like
bones,ligaments/tendons.
Using this table, please fill the table, draw the stress strain
curve and then answer the question.
In case where the load is released at point 1 and 2 Draw and
show the permanent and the recovery deformations.
