It has been argued that business has too much power that, once exercised, even in a responsible manner, distorts the balance of political power in the country. Discuss both sides of this issue. Where do you stand? Explain your position and the reasoning behind it.
It is true that a lot of arguments are placed by the
shareholders of the company and the major forces in the market that
if a company is provided by the excessive powers even in a
responsible manner can cause and disturps the political power in
the country.
One side of this argument says that if the company is getting
excessive power, this power could make the company exercise
excessive control and could turn the market into a monopoly. This
monopoly could even ruin the political power and the economuc power
of the country that would eventually make the prices go higher and
also exploit the human rights and consumer's right to buy.
Another side of this argument says that if the company is getting excessive power, this power could also make the company exercise the control in a better manner. The company could act responsibly and make the economy and the people get the right products at the right prices. Consumer could only avail the products from one big brand having the massive power and all of their disputes could be solved by the same company.
Seeing both the sides of the argument, I still believe that giving one company all the power is not good for the economy, politics and also the consumer in the market. This could lead the government to fall under the control and power of the same country and also won't give other companies to come into the market and compete in a fair manner.
