Find the margin of error for the given values of c, σ, and n. c = 0.98, σ = 0.78, n = 150

Solutions

Expert Solution

Solution :

Given that,

Population standard deviation =    = 0.78

Sample size = n =150

At 98% confidence level the z is ,

= 1 - 98% = 1 - 0.98 = 0.02

/ 2 = 0.02/ 2 = 0.01

Z/2 = Z0.01 = 2.326 ( Using z table    )

Margin of error = E = Z/2    * ( /n)

= 2.326 * (0.78 /  150 )

E= 0.1481
