Statistical Process Control Methods

Statistical Process Control can be seen as an important analytical tool which can be used to identify the stability or presence of any defect in the process. It makes the decision making quite easier with reference to the variations related to the quality control and the capacity to be more effective.

With the help of adequate proper statistical analysis and proper planning, we can have the valuable data to take the relevant decisions on the basis of significant data which os collected. It is very important to have adequate planning when it comes to the process evaluation to take the best possible decision.

The various statistical process control methods are as below:-

Control Charts:- These are the charts which are employed to find out whether a manufacturing activity or process is within the statistical control or not. These are also known as Shewhart Charts.

Histograms:- These are the diagrams which include the rectangles of a varied area which is equal to the frequency of a variable and the width is equal to the interval of the class. These are used to represent the distribution of numerical data

Pareto chart:- It includes both the bar and line graphs. In it bars represent the data in descending order while line represents the cumulative total.

Scatter diagram:- This is a graph in which the values of two variables are plotted along the two axes. The pattern which is observed represents the correlation between the data.
