1. Cite 3 major quality problems occurred during the development of the F35 jet fighters.
2. Why is it more difficult to build quality in software than that in hardware like in bridge and airplane?
3. What caused the failure of the Patriot Missiles at Dharan Airport, Saudi Arabia in 1991? Explain how software in the missile failed.
There are lots of struggles faced by the F35 fighters. That includes the destructive chain reactions triggered by aflat tire,a weird green glow on the helmet, displays that makes it different to land on aircraft carrier and a loss of stealth at supersonic speeds In cold weather conditions there is chance for battery failures.so it the another problem.
There is many difficulties to build quality in software than that in hardware. The software quality is the totality of functionality and features of a software product that bear on its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs. The software development is very hard because of many reasons.
1. Hardware technology improve quickly, making ever more complex software practical and desires
2. New language, liabilities and framework are rapidly churned out.
3.coordination and communication among the members increases will application size.
4. The programming paradigms come and go like hell bottom and hemlines.
On February 25,1991,an Iraqi Scud hit the barracks in Dhahran,Saudi Arabia killing 28 soliders from the US Army's quartermaster Detachment. A Government investigation disclosed that the failed intercept at Dhahran had been caused by a software error in the system's handlimg if timestamps.
The software problem led to system failure at Dhahran ,Saudi Arabia is the cause of the failure.
