Charles the great of Charlemagne had been born in 748 AD. The kingdom of the Frankish had already become one of the most important and influential of the powers. Though, there was an increase in the power after Charlemagne had come into power. He had started ruling most of the west Europe. There was culmination of the Christmas Day 800, as pope Leo III had been crowned the imperial emperor.
This had been significant as there was foundation of the Holy Roman Empire, which continued for more than a thousand years. Because of the great power, he has also been referred to as the father of Europe’s, and Was also the founder of the German as well as French monarchies.
He had brought up different administrative reforms, which had been a key development in the medieval monarchy. One of the major concerns had been maintenance of unity inside his empire. He had wanted the total population to be swearing for the loyalty oath. Also, there were new legislative reforms also, laying the foundation of medieval monarchy.
He had also rewritten laws along with removing some of the laws that that had been useless or vicious. Also, there was a a central authority laid which led in the spread of knowledge identifying rightaa well as wrong. Also, it was required that all the laws would be read out loudly in the language of the people.
