Yes, ethics can be taught, however ethical behavior comes through living it. These are an essential asset to the growth of most business professionals. In my opinion business ethics can be taught, however whether an individual in the class or learning decides to apply the ethics lesson they were taught is another thing
For example: Business Ethics exposes students to the companies that have thrived because of living ethical principles. Corruption takes place as professionals believe they can outsmart the system however history reflects you cannot. Money can be a motivator; however it’s more than that. There’s a feeling of superiority, invincibility, and power.
Also ethics classes give individuals a chance to think twice about their questions and decisions the direction they might be headed; and wants them to take a critical dive into, “the consequences of the issue; who will be harmed, who will benefit, whose rights are exercised and whose rights are denied."
