Provide an example of a diversity management issue in your lifetime. It could be from a large corporate franchise (you read about in the news), a small business in a community that you have observed, or from your personal experience. Looking at the situation objectively, how did management style impact the organization? What was the morale of the office?
Diversity has been quite an important and desired aspect in an organization because organizations today prioritize and are giving importance to diversity in an organization because they are aware of the bene fits of the same. A very recent issue in my team required diversity management which was taken care by the manager in order to make the process convenient to quite an extent. We are a team working in the IT unit of a large insurance organization along with a vendor which is based out of India and there are some employees from that organization who are deployed in USA and we are working together as a team there are employees who are from other countries as well as recently we had a issue regarding an idea that was forwarded by our product owner which was accepted by some and also some had confusion regarding the idea because of the cultural differences we have in the team.
The manager got to know about the issue and with the help of the management styles he conducting a meeting with the team in which he communicated the benefits of working in a diverse team and there will be issues but the team needs to overcome them and come out victorious in the process as well. Due to this issue the morale and environment of the office actually went down to quite an extent but gradually with the manager playing his role things became better and the members started working together as a team for the betterment of the organization.
