SOLUTION
ROLE OF INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
The industrial revolution marked a period of development In the latter half of the 18th century that transformed largely rural, agrarian societies In Europe and America into industrialized, urban ones. Goods that have been painstakingly crafted by had started to be produced In mass quantities by machines In factories, thanks to the introduction of new machines and techniques in textiles, iron making and other industries.
The industrial revolution now known as first industrial revolution, was the transition to new manufacturing processes in Europe and the united states, in the period about 1760 to somewhere between 1820 and 1840.the transition included going from hand production methods to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes, the increasing use of steam power and water power ,the development of machine tools and the rise of mechanized factory system The industrial revolution also led to the unprecedented rise in the rate of population growth.
Textiles were the dominant industry of the industrial revolution in terms of employment, the value of output and capital invested.
The textile industry was also the first to use modern production methods. The industrial revolution began in great Britain, and many of the technical innovations were of Britain origin. by the mid 18th century Britain was the worlds leading commercial nation, controlling a global trading empire with colonies in north America and the Caribbean, with a major military and a political hegemony on the Indian sub-continent, particularly with the pro-industrialized Mughal Bengal, through the activities of east India company. the development of trade and the rise of business were among the major causes of the industrial revolution.
Underlying the technological breakthroughs of the industrial revolution was Britain's commercial and imperial expansion of the 17th and 18th century, which was the cause of peculiar wage and the price pattern. The state policies that mattered more were mercantilism and imperialism.
WHY WAS THE BRITAIN FIRST TO INDUSTRIALIZE
First, there was no great "take off "in industrialization and productivity: Britain industrial employment increased by just 12% between 1759 and 1851, similarly total factory production was increased by just 0.4% a year until 1830s.By 20th century standards such growth were underwhelming.
Second the great divergence had already occurred by the time Britain was industrialising. real GDP per person was far higher in Britain, the Netherlands and Italy than in china by 1600: the west was far ahead of the rest of the time of the industrial revolution.
Third, crafts shows that industrialisation was concentrated in a limited number of sectors, such as textiles and largely bypassed the service industries.
DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE OF DIFFERENT NATION
FRANCE
In France, industrial development was delayed by political turmoil and a lack of coal, but the central government played a more active role in development than Britain's had. Craft production at which people make decorative objects in hand, also remained a more significant element in French economy.
GERMANY
In Germany the central governments role was also greater than in Britain. This was partly because the German government wanted to hasten the process and catch up with British industrialisation. Germany used its rich iron and coal resources to develop heavy industry, such as iron steel manufacturer. It also provide to be an environment that encourage big business and cooperation among large firms. The German banking sector, for example, was dominated by few large banks.
JAPAN
In japan, the first industrial Asian nation, the central government made industrialisation a national goal during the late 19th century. Industrialisation in some areas of china began in the early 20th century and increased near the end of the century.other Asian and pacific countries such as south Korea and Taiwan begun to industrialize after 1960s.
