Supply chain of any organisation comprises of various components such as quality control and inventory and these components are crucial in the successful process of supply chain. Let us consider a company which is a packaging company supplying carton boxes. In it's supply chain after taking orders it needs to plan the production and for this forecasting of the requirements and time is important. The next step it needs to take is production and for this raw material is required which is stored in inventory . The quality of the product needs to be checked and any scrap material must be identified and necessary changes needs to be done, For this quality management is requires. For all the processes in supply chain technology is widely used especially for issuing orders and taking them, billing and designing of products. For this information technology is required. Hence all these components are important to run the supply chain without any breaks.
