   Survey Report

In this report i conduted a survey of employees in order to understand their problems related to the cafeteria. Many employees raised and talked about issues like quality of food, serving time etc.

A survey was conducted by me as there were many complaints regarding the cafeteria services. There were several problems that employees were facing. These problems hampered the production too as the serving time was too long which indirectly affected the production.

Some major prooblems that were faced by the employees were-

1.Quality of food- 85% OF the employees complained about the bad quality of food.Employees menioned that they were not getting fresh food and once an employee was even served with chicken that had a foul smell.

2.Long Serving time- Employees Complained about about the long serving time. They said the staff usually takes about 45 minutes to serve the order which increases the leisure time and decreases the working time.

3.Expensive Food-  The employees complained about the unncessary cost that they were paying. The food was not of superior quality but the prices were too high and they were not getting the quality for which they were paying.

4.Rude behaviour of staff-  The staff of cafeteria is very rude, The receptionist is very illl-mannered and does not listen to the complaints made by the employees.

5.Unhygenic enviroment- The employees complained about he Unhygenic enviroment of the cafeteria. The staff does not use head caps and gloves. The cafeteria itself stinks many a time.

Recommendations for improvements-

1. The quality of food should be checked thoroghly by an assigned person on weekly basis, this would help to keep a check on quality of food and maintain quality of food.

2.There should be a proper training of the staff working in the cafeteria. Training is an ongoing process and this will help to work more professionaly and reduce the serving time as well as it will teach them how to be polite with the customers, this will indirectly increase the sales too of the cafeteria.

3.There is need to make a proper accounts secton which will regulate the inventory and will keep a check on the inventory. This will reduce the wastage of various material which will help to reduce the prices.

There is also a need to make a proper pricing strategy.
