Diet of an individual is influenced by many factors like ethic, cultural, geographic,and/or religious background. For example culture affect the individual diet .For example, children of a vegetarian family more likely to be a vegetarian and diet only vegetarian food whereas, children of a non- vegetarian family more likely to be a vegetarian. Similarly, religious background also effect the type of diet an individual. An highly religious family eat only vegetarian food and do not eat non-vegetarian diet. For, example in religion like hindu and Buddhist , non-vegetarian food is not allowed to eat and against their religion. Whereas, the religion like Christian , Islam have no such boundation.
Geographical factors like where people live is also influenced the diet of food. For example geographical factors like climate, soil quality, precipitation, topography have greatly influenced the type of crop being cultivated in any particular area. For example, if we consider the soil quality, some plants like corn grow well in high nitrates rich soil, so the person living in those areas where soil is rich in nitrates will include corn in their diet as compare to those who does not live in soil is rich in nitrates.
Receipe of one diet: Here, we are taking the example of idli that is eaten in breakfast , lunch, dinner in sourthen part , of india . As this dish is made from rice and rice is grown in large scale in Southern India because of high rainfall. Since rice need large amount of water in its early part of growth, dish like idli is the main dish of Sourthen India.
