ii. Critically examine FOUR (4) importance of the chieftaincy institution to development in Ghana.

1i)Culture is dynamic ie constantly changing , it is fluid and not static.A person who grows up in a culture may not be tied up with that culture . It will change as people move about and the person adapts to the new culture.Culture is socially constructed as human interactions create culture .As for eg , i)human beings move about and spread their beliefs , values , ideas,ideals etc in the society and this in turn  constitute the cultural environment where they live.ii)gifted people like Van Goghs, the Disneys , the animator who dreams a character called Mickey mouse are all social creators as they create something new, which change the cultural world in which we live.We get entertained with mickey mouse , Van Goghs creations delights us ,so culture is a social product.iii) Cultural change has its impact on the food we take as people adapt to the different eating habits

ii)It is believed that chiefs do not play any important role in local government in Ghana as they rendered earlier.Critics want the institution of chieftaincy to be abolished as they do not have any important role to play..At present it is argued that the institution of chieftaincy is very important to the socio economic development of Ghana.The chieftaincy institution in Ghana is responsible for regulating the activities of local chieftains in the society of Ghana. Chieftaincy institution is  responsible for i)sustainable development in Ghana,ii)alleviation of poverty,iii)rendering to underprivileged members humanitarian services,iv) dispute settlement among the people.
