Answer :

1. a. The amygdala has previously been shown to store fear memories. However , prior studies have indicated that the amygdala does not discriminate among the different threats it holds and processes. Whenever recalled , memories become labile. Each amygdala is located close to the hippocampus, in the frontal portion of the temporal lobe. Amygdala are essential to ability to feelcertain emotions and to percieve them in other people. This includes fear and the many changes that it cause in the body.

5.c. change at the level of individual neurons contribute to the shrinkage and cortical thinning of the aging brain. Neurons shrink and retract their dendrites, and the fatty myelin that wraps around axons deteriorates. The number of connections , or synapses , between brain cells also drops, which can affect learning and memory.

11.d. The left side of the brain is responsible for controlling the right side of the body. It also performs tasks that have to do with logic, such as in science and mathematics. The right hemisphere coordinates the left side of the body . and performs tasks that have do with activity and the arts.
