We know that the HR department deals with the human capital of a company. Therefore it is fit to say that workforce planning and training and development should be the main area of focus for the HR department.
The selection process falls under the HR. They determine the candidature of the selected individuals based on their own system of evaluation and processes which allow them to screen their applicants based on the requirement of the business and their current skill level. It then makes sense that in order for the workforce to become competent in order to provide the company with an edge, the HR management needs to indulge them in activities, tanning plans and modules and subject them to learn new skills in order to allow them to build on their strengths and work on their limitations. The HR manager can employ techniques such as mentoring, on the job training, classroom training programmes and online training modules to help the workforce compete in the market, working on developing their skill and essentially allow both the company, the management the employees to grow.
