Q. How do I convince my leaders to practise lean manufacturing?

The concept of Lean manufacturing is developed by Japanese which focuses on eliminating or reducing waste in manufacturing process & tries to deliver more cost-efficient, high quality product to customers which create extra value to them. It focuses on enhancing the productivity of organization by utilizing technology productively & effectively. I convince my leader to adopt Lean manufacturing practice by highlighting its importance to them.

I put forward following points to convince my leaders to adopt lean manufacturing practice:

1. Lean manufacturing is easily manageable process & eliminates useless process from current system which results in saving cost.

2. It also focuses on reducing manpower & workspace, as it follows Just-In-Time production & inventory management system.

3. I also highlight that Lean manufacturing easily identify & eliminate the defect in current process, and tries to deliver high-quality product to the customer which create more value to them & thus, helps to build more firm image of the company & capture large market share by gaining competitive advantage.

4. Lean manufacturing is utilized to increase the productivity & efficiency of the organization, and tries to achieve Economies of Scale in manufacturing process.

5. Lean manufacturing is used to maximize the profit, improve customer satisfaction, utilizes for total quality management, eliminates waste practice, and used to improve & boost morale, and working of employees, as lean manufacturing encourages innovation, and simplifies the system by installation of upgraded technology resulted in reducing complication while working.
