Multimedia enzymes are the enzymes that have multiple subunits of the proteins. These may either be heteromultimeric or these may be Homo multimeric.
Allosteric enzymes are always form an exception to the Michelin menten model. These enzymes have more than one subunit. When an allowteric effector would bing to a specific site on a protein, they would carry out modulation of the activity of the enzyme. They also influence the tendency of other ligand to bind to other sites. Hence, an allosteric protein would be existing in two conformations or more than two conformations as they would also have different properties of reactivity. These heterotrophic allosteric effectors could carry out modulation of both the multimeric as well as thr monomeric proteins as they bind to different sites in the protein structure. If allosteric enzymes were not multimeric, they could not cause conformational changes. Hence, these are multimeric.
