a.Share an experience you’ve had with math anxiety or test anxiety. b.How does Matthew 6:25-34 speak to you in terms of managing your worry or anxiety?
There have been many instances where I have had physiological symptoms of stress before exams.. This was purely psychosomatic since more often than not, I felt healed after the period of stress (examinations) were through. This however, has been challenged by the thoughts of Matthew, where he states:
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? The ideas talk about the fact that anxiety and stress is purely a cumlination of the mind's activities, they are not really linked with the events that trigger it per se. Therefore, it is the mind that can help this heal and the events are unchangeable in themselves.
