What recommendations would you make to Ricoh Canada Inc. to more effectively compete in the services market?
Some of the recommendations to Ricoh Canada Inc is to use their strong business relationships to penetrate the IT and services industry. While doing this, there are a few pre-requisites that need to be done which is training the sales workforce who have little to no knowledge about the services market and to convince them about their offerings. The nature of the training should focus on both B2B and B2C businesses as this would increase the target audience.
Once this is done, they should exploit the market through services targeted to a specific audience but in areas like medicine, institutions, and finance. The markets that Ricoh Canada Inc wishes to enter should be examined carefully before making any investment in a market that is saturated and also avoid competitive marketing the beginning. They should also be aware of the exchange rate and the costs associated with them so more can be spent on strategy implementation towards the service market.
