Fairy tale versus recent film
In childhood fairy tales from the grandparents were the part and parcel of our lives. They have grown, evolved and reshaped and has taken many different forms and had many messages. At the end of 19th century the place of story telling was taken by the film makers by producing films. Some movies are inspired by the fairy tales which were told hundred years ago. Like this, I will write about one fairy tale and one movie.
The red shoes.
It is fairy tale where a girl named Karen was the protagonist. She was a normal girl who enjoyed her life. But her life changed when she got a pair of fancy red shoes. Her life changed and she became vain and obsessive about herself. The red shoes had taken over her life and she was cursed to dance for eternity. Out of desperation and anger she chops off her feet. Finally she seeks help from and angel and begs her to take away her life and give her peace. At the end she gets what she wanted.
Black swan
Likewise the fairy tale, in the movie a girl named Nina was the protagonist and she was just like Karen , a simple girl. One day she gets a chance to dance in a play named Swan Lake. Soon after that she becomes psychotic and obsessive about her dance. She played a character of a black swan and that black swan took over her life. She started to feel like a swan herself. She starts hallucinating and stabs herself with a piece of broken mirror due to depression. But she finishes her final performance with perfect moves and dies peacefully.
