What is the difference between ΔH° rxn and ΔH° ? Define both quantities.
dHrxn = (sum of dH products) - (sum of dH reactants)
So delta H is enthalpy of each compound, not of a full reaction, each compound have its own specific enthalpy,
when a reaction take place and we balance it with all its stochiometry and then add the different delta H with multiplicatiion with their respective number, then we get sum of deltaH product as well as reactants.
As given above equation, delta H reaction is difference of sum of delta H product and delta H reactants.
Hence, delta H referes to enthalpy of each compound. whereas delta H reaction is total enthalpy of a reaction along with its balanced equation.
Answer. I hope this clears your doubt about delta H ....
