What is the difference between illiberal democracies and hybrid regimes? Define both and explain the institutions that underpin both kinds of regime.
The term illiberal democracy is known by many names like called
a partial, empty, low intensity, flawed, guided, and empity
democracy. This is a governing system trough which the elections
are held. The citizens are ignored and avoided from basic knowledge
of the those activities who exercise the authentic power cause the
lackness of civil liberty. Therefore it can not be called a open
society. There are many countries in the world which are treated
as neither free nor not free but are characterised as probably free and
are falling from somewhere b/w nondemocratic and demoratic power is
because of constitutional limited powers present.
Hybrid regime is a political or governing system in which the
implementation for control or regulate access to a country or state
office and joints both democratic as well as autocratic approaches.
Or we can say that A hybrid regime is a mixture kind or sort of
political system or regime which is often arise and created the
result of incomplete passage or conversion from an authorian regime
with democratic one its joint autocratic features with democratic
ones are that they can simultaneously hold political and regular or
crussing elections.
Liberal democracy emphasises the separation of powers, an
independent judiciary and a system of checks and balances between
branches of government. Liberal democracies are likely to emphasise
the importance of the state being a Rechtsstaat that is such a
state which follows the principle and rules of rule of law.
Western researchers found that hybrid regimes pay emphasis and care
to the democrative nature of democratic institutions like
elections, media, the opposition in parties, parliament vote
system, all should be under govt control, through which it is
concluded that authoritarianism which is the foundation of hybrid
regimes.inadition to this hybrid regimes adopts dictatorship
too.
The societies gain enough size and complexity. And develop the
permanent bureaucratic structure that people associate to the
state. The liberal democratic version of a country is a part of
byproduct of the depersonalization of authority and power that give
back dissatisfaction with late feudal shapes of govt for exampleas
absolute or complete monarchy.
