* Sudoriferous glands:- Also known as sweat glands. These are exocrine glands located deep with in the skin. These are high in number at areas like forehead, armpits etc. * The main function of Sudoriferous glands are maintaining body temperature and excrete substantances onto an epithelial surface through way of ducts.

* Sebaceous glands:- These are present all over the skin except palms of hand and soles of feet which are connected to the hair follicles. * The function is secreting waxy or oily matter which lubricates skin and hair of mammals.

* Ceruminous glands:- These are specialized Sudoriferous glands located subcutaneously in external auditory canal. * The function of these glands is to produce cerumin( ear wax) helps in protecting the ear canal.

* Mammary glands:- These are the glandular tissue present in breasts of both males and females. But functional only in females. * They are responsible for lactation, or production of milk after birth of baby in females.
