How does the HIV virus act on target cells in the body
(Unit 1: Biochemistry; Unit 2: Metabolic Process; Unit 3: Molecular
Genetics; Unit 4: Homeostasis)? can you please relate to every
unit... I really need help with this especially the first 2
units.
this grade 12 biology
Describe a "Day in the Life of a growth hormone"
Where is the hormone produced? How is it transported around the
body? What is it used for? What happens if there is too little or
too much of the hormone? Is this a hormone that someone might take
supplements to boost the amount of hormone in their body - and if
so, why?
Using Growth Hormone (GH) as an example, explain a hypothalamic
– pituitary – target organ relationship. A drawing may be helpful
but be sure to include words to explain the picture.
Topic: Seed Germination
-Definition of process:
-Hormone(s) involved:
-Cells or tissues that produce the hormone:
-Briefly describe the nature of the response (use diagrams if
you wish):
-Evolutionary explanation for the response (i.e why wold plants
capable of responding in this way leave more offspring than ones
that cannot):
Identify the gland that secretes growth hormone,
identify 3 targets of growth hormone, identify 3 specific effects
of growth hormone, and explain why these effects occur considering
the ultimate effect of growth hormone.
