When selecting a fast food restaurant, we believe the cleanliness of the restaurant is more important for males than females. First, write the null and alternative hypothesis we would use to test this. Second, describe the analysis you would use to test this belief.
(a) Question: Write the null and alternative hypothesis we would use to test this
H0: Null Hypothesis: ( The cleanliness of the restaurant is not more important for males than females),
where Sample 1 refers to Males and Sample 2 refers to Females and the cleaniness levels of participants are rated in scale of 0 to 10, 0 being unclean and 10 being complete cleanliness.
HA: Alternative Hypothesis: ( The cleanliness of the restaurant is more important for males than females), (Claim)
(b) Question: Describe the analysis you would use to test this belief.
A set of n volunteers, with equal number of males and females are selected randomly through random technique from the fast food restaurants in the city. The cleaniless level of each volunteer is measured in scale of 0 to 10, 0 being unclean and 10 being complete cleanliness.and the entire data is analysed statistically. Hypothesis Testing is done to find out the significance of difference between the mean cleanliness ratings of males and females.
