WHAT IS THE potential opportunities or challenges with regard to ‘the human element’ in the design of performance management systems (e.g. individual motivation, career development, conflict)?
WHAT IS your experience with both strategic and tactical approaches to laying a solid foundation for implementing a performance management system (e.g. approaches to job design, identification of key stakeholders, engagement of a variety of stakeholders in the process)
1st question:
For enhancing the performance management system, the prime aspect is to motivate the working professionals both mentally and financially. They are required to appraise them for their work standard with proper rewards and recognition. The organization only develops an ethical work culture and mutual collaborations among the employees are highly desirable. The potential opportunities for an organization are to focus on the ethical approach and engage with the highest transparency in the organizational dealings with the customers and clients. The opportunities basically grow when any work or project is conducted in a team. The teamwork is highly aspiring to focus on achieving the goals and to sustain the stability to work. The potential opportunities in the organization only come when the work is being conducted with proper coordination by maintaining the effective dealings with the external and internal resources of the organization. The conflicts basically occur while conducting any work as the team members come up with their several views and judgments, the leaders or team managers play the vital role in granting the views by pre-checking the feasibility of the right decision. The challenges are the major part to design the performance management system, the work failure or flaws are required to be overcome with proper involvement in the career development program. The career development program enriches the skills of the employees to perform better that will add an extra advantage for the organization to effectively grow the working standard of the organization.
2nd question:
To lay an effective foundation for excelling the performance
management system, the job design is the prime aspect of the
organization sustainability. The organization requires the
formulation of the effective work culture to unite the employees so
to construct a better strategic approach. The strategies and
tactics should meet the employee's needs, the employees in the
organization basically require incentives for delivering the good
performance, it is very necessary to encourage them with extra
hours of working and along with the incentives, quick promotions in
the designation of the workers are highly required.
The engagement with the external and internal resources like
suppliers, stakeholders are required to keep flexible. They are
also the part of employee performance, with their constant support
and timely delivery, the work is being conducted by the employees
with delivering a high level of efficiency. The design of the work
should focus on the process to increase the height of performance.
A leader should plan accordingly to handover the task sequentially
to the most promising skilled person and stay connected with them
for obtaining the update. This process will explore the
effectiveness of the work standard and necessary implementations
can be done to increase the work fundamental process to highly
encourage the workers to perform best and the organization can
achieve their desired goals.
