The analysis of a project is focused on analyzing all social, political and economic factors, which may have an impact on the project implementation. The role of various stakeholders is also considered in the analysis of project environment.

The different types of environmental factors that a project manager takes into consideration are:

  • Competitors
  • Economic Factors
  • Internal relationships
  • Technological factors

Enterprise Environmental factors (EEFs) are the set of internal and external factors in a project’s environment that may have a substantial effect on the success of the project.

Some of the EEFs are:

  • Organization structure
  • Regulatory environment
  • Availability of capital resources

Organizational Process Assets (OPAs) refer to any entity acquired by the project for its management. Some of the OPAs are:
