Skeletal system 1.list the major organs in this body system. 2. Describe ( in detail) the normal function of this body system. 3. Identify and explain about 3 common diseases that affect this body system. Describe diagnostic testing used to detect the disease and treatment modalities for each. 4. List 2 changes that are relevant to the body structure and function of this body system in children. 5. List 2 changes that are relevant to the body structure and function of this body system in the elderly. 6. What is one weird, gross, strange,or interesting thing about this system?
1. Major organs of the skeletal system are the largest part of the skeletal system: skeletal system composed of bones mainly we consider the larger bones.
Skull, Ribs, vertebral column, Bones of limbs ( Hands and legs).
these are the major part of skeleton system which are composed of multiple number of various different bones.
2. Skeletal system have many functions:
it provides a specific or fixed shape to the body for any individual organism. for example every species have different body structure in shape which is regulated by the skeletal system. Example : Monkey, snack, bird and all other animal have different body structure.
it is composed of Hard material calcium so helps in the protection of soft tissues which are present inside this hard skeletal covering. For example brain is protected from Skull.Ribs covers the soft tissues lungs heart the various other organs.
The skeletal part of limbs are used for the motility, jumping and walking movements.
snack doesn't have Limbs but it moves through flipping movement which is conducted by vertebral column.
3. Osteoporosis: in this bones become weeks and as the name indicates the pores are formed because of the reduction of calcium in the bones.
Paget disease of bones: it is also a disease and which bones are weekend due to various influencing factors.
Austeomalecia: it is a deficiency of Vitamin D and which the bone formation is reduces and ultimately the weakness of bones.
4. Osteomalecia occurs in children's in which vitamin D deficiency leads to the hole formation in bones. results of this disease are reduced grip formation in bones, reduced weight of total bone percentage.
paediatric bone disease: this disease is formed due to less nutritional values to childrens in which phones become weekends and reduces values of bones.
in this condition bones are too weak and can break with a small shock.
6.
weird: humans have few tail bones according to scientist.
Inteesting: largest bone is femar and smallest bone is stapes
