Technology has constantly been growing and it has touched the life of everyone irrespective of one's socio, cultural and economic status. Science has adopted technology and makes things possible that were once considered as impossible. Child birth is one of the most crucial period of one's life. Many people struggled to have a child and science and technology found a way for artificial way to beget children using one's own sperm or getting sperm from a donor.

Today, science had moved to the next stage where technology helps one determine the sex of the baby during pregnancy. Two such prominent technologies available today are Sperm Sorting that helps a couple choose the sex of their embryo and even helps in preventing some diseases that would happen in the future through genetic modification and Gender Select which helps the parents select the sex of their baby before conception. Microsort and IVF are two more technologies that are waiting for the approval and not widely used.
