• IOT syands for "Internet of things". IOT is a concept of all tyoe of connected devices over the internet weather it is wired or wireless.
• IOT technology is used for different purposes like education, communication, transportation and business development.
• Using IOT the organization or an individual can communicate with each other from remote location effortlessly.
• The IOT for home users has networking standards which include -- Zwave, Insteon, Bluetooth, Ethernet, WiFi, C-bus, UPB, KNX, EnOcean and thread.
• Each one has their own strength and weakeness. The IOT for home provide additional comfort and security for example -- a smart air coditioning system that can be used as a wide variety of household sensor and web based data sources for making intelligent operating decisions.
• But using IOT , there is a lots of security and privacy issues whcih include --
• Confidentiality -- It is to keep the data private so only authorized users can access it. The confidientiality for home users can be monitoring system that can lead to release of sensitive medical data.
• The cryptography technology can be best for achieving confidientialy.
• Authentication -- It is about to verify data and the data can be verified through calimed author. for home users it can be unauthenticated system status alert that may confuse a house controller to think of an emergency situation and opening doors and windows to allow for emergency exit
• access -- It refers to allow to access data only authorized users. it can be communication infrastructure and computing resources.
