Briefly describe and provide examples of three steps involved in changing an organization’s culture.
There are 3 steps in changing an organization culture:-
1. Diagnosis
It means you need to check that what all needs to be changed and plan the changes accordingly. Changing an organization's culture is a multi-dimensional process that must be taken seriously. The major steps include a detailed diagnosis of the current culture.
Example :- Management need to check what all changes need to be done in the work place first like starting the give respect to everyone. If the HR is facing issue related equality, than this need to be changed or policy need to changed or implemented.
2 . Implementation
Once you have idea or policy or changes are ready in documents it’s time to implement the same. Once we implement changes we need to make sure that the things will be implemented as per planning.
Example :- if you implement the Respect to everyone policy, you need to make sure that the policy is explained to everyone in the company properly.
3. Evaluation
Once we have implemented the changes its time to evaluate the result in the real work place. it involves the "art" of changing the informal systems as well as the informal systems.
Example:- if after implementation, cases with HR will reduce than you can say that the changes are successful.
