c. List the four steps involved with the phagocytosis and destruction of a microbe? Briefly describe what is occurring in each step
d. Briefly describe one way a pathogen could escape phagocytosis
c. phagocytosis is the process of engulfing the particle or
bacteria and digest it.
steps of phagocytosis:
step 1; the cell that perform phagocytosis is activated.immune
cells activates ,when the cells are near bacterial cells..
step2:movement of phagocyte toward a concentrationof
molecules.immune cells picks chemical signas and moves
towards.
step4 3: the cell that attached to cell itwill ingest
step4:cell ingests the particle ,which is enclosed in
vesicle(phagosome)
step5: a lysosome fuses with phagosome.phagosome fused with
lysosome is called a phagolysosome.
step6:cellular waste. broken down the molecules which are not
used,is exocytosis.
d.one way a pathogen could escape pagocytosis is pathogens may
invade or remain confined to regions inaccessible to
phagocytes.eg;urinary bladder,broken skin.
another way is avoiding provoking inflammatory
response, withoutinflammation pathogens will not attract the
phagocytes.
