When to use which the strategy?

Market oriented pricing may be used based on or depending upon line of products being displayed like family cars, station wagons, sedans, large cars, vans, etc

pricing based on Market position may be used to find out how much price to quote for used cars; how much price nearby competitors are quoting, Separate prices for sedans, separate prices for family cars, separate prices for vans & the like.

On other hand, prices may also be quoted depending upon value of product like air conditioned, 4 doors, 5 doors, 2 door cars etc. Lexus and Pries cars are priced at premium rates.

Placing strategies:

Ease of access to customer is key. Used car dealership may be held near a highway / close to a free way exit, so that clients, customers, / consumers may easily reach us.
