I have recently joined Uflex Ltd as Head SCM (Supply Chain Management) for one of their flexible packaging unit in Jammu , India. Let me tell you something about the company . This India's Largest End to End Flexible Packaging solutions company and it caters to all flexible packaging accross varied industries spanning USA , Russia , Europe , CIS Countries , UK , Canada , Middle East & South America. The major segments they cater to are :

1. FMCG (Fast Moving Conumer Goods ) : Here the major companies to which they supply material are :

A. Procter & Gamble Home Products : Monthy Supplies are 250 Metric Tonnes

B. Nestle India Ltd : Monthly Supplies are 126 Metric Tonnes

C. Britania Industries Ltd : Monthly Supplies are 180 Metric Tonnes

D. Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare Ltd : Monthly Supplies are 130 Metric Tonnes

E. Mondelez India Foods Ltd : Monthly Supplies

The major customer motivations are :

A. Confirmence to specifications at all times and defect free product

B. Providing one stop solution to all their varieties of requirements in totality .

C. 100% of Customer orders are catered to.

D. Provide excellent service levels as the company has a well established Research and Development Team and in factory Quality Team to take care of all customer complaints on time .

E. On time delivery every time.

Unmet Needs are :

A. Some of these companies have factories in remote areas and as of now UFLEX is not able to cater to these needs.

B. Some of these companies require very big size rolls where the weight of each roll is more than 100 kgs so that they have fewer change overs which is difficult to handle as of now for UFLEX .

C. Some of these companies need both printed or unprinted material delivered in 10 to 15 days . For uflex it is possible to deliver unprinted material delivered to all customers in 15 days but for printed they need minimum 20 days to customers where transit lead time is more than 7 days.

2. Pharma : Here the major customers are :

A. Ajanta Pharma : Monthly Supplies are 25 Metric Tonnes

B. Cadila Healthcare : Monthly Supplies are 20 Metric Tonnes

C. Innova Captabs : Monthly Supplies are 20 Metric Tonnes

D. Sky Map Pharmaceauticals : Monthly Supplies are 12 Metric Tonnes

The major customer motivations are :

A. Confirmence to specifications at all times and defect free product

B. Providing one stop solution to all their varieties of requirements in totality .

C. Provide excellent service levels as the company has a well established Research and Development Team and in factory Quality Team to take care of all customer complaints on time .

D. On time delivery every time.

Unmet Needs are :

A. On account of non allignment of raw material supplies as of now company is not able to take care of all varieties of requirements for each customer .

B. Delivery times are higher as curing is required in each stage of the process at printing , lamination & slitting

C. Some of these companies have factories in remote areas and as of now UFLEX is not able to cater to these needs.

D. Some of these companies require very big size rolls where the weight of each roll is more than 100 kgs so that they have fewer change overs which is difficult to handle as of now for UFLEX .
