WEB-BUILDER SPIDER:

The web-builder spiders usually produce proteinaceous silk with help of their spinneret glands. these glands are located at the tip of their abdomen and extrude silk for the building of the trapping webs.

almost all spiders can produce silk but all spiders can not build webs, species like bolas spiders comes under these categories, they can produce silk but can't build webs.

these web-builders can produce more than seven different types of silk for various uses like safety, prey trapping etc...

it is believed that the tensile strength of this silk is more than the same weight of steel.

LIE-N-WAIT SPIDERS:

Usually, they run after the prey or lie and wait to kill the prey so, they also called "hunting spiders".

sometimes they form groups to trap the insects, usually, they have powerful "CHELICERAE".they use these appendages for the killing of prey. some of the spiders like jumping spiders creep up and pounce on the prey.

examples of lie-n-wait spiders are water spiders, wolf spiders, crab spiders, and fisher spiders etc..
