Oxidoreductases are enzymes which functions both in aerobic and anaerobic conditions. They took part in glycolysis, TCA cycle and also in Oxidative phosphorylation. NADP+ and NAD+ is the co-factors of this enzyme. These oxidoreductase enzyme catalyze oxidation reduction reactions in which electrons are transferred. It reduces NAD+ to NADH+H+ which through ETC produce ATP. The complexes found in ETC are all oxidoreductase type which pumps protons outside the matrix, thereby converting NADH+H+ and FADH2 to NAD+ and FAD respectively. F0F1 ATPase when transport back these protons inside the mitochondrial matrix, ATP is formed which is the energy currency of the cell.
