Expert Solution

At first we know what are nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio data types.

Nominal data :: it is used for labeling or naming variables. It does not have quantitative value.

Ordinal data:: ordinal data is a type of categorical data which is used to order or scale categories.

Interval data:: this is a quantitative data types with having integer values. Which is measured along a scale.

Ratio data:: this is same like interval data types. But the fact is that in this data type's scale 0 is considered as origin. And there is no negative values.

For case a) Rating in Zagat's guide can positive or negative. So it can be considered as nominal data.

b) altitude above sea levels of Himalayan peaks can not be negative but they have quantitative values. It belongs to ratio type variable.

C) the temperature of arboreal canopies in celcius can be positive and negative...so it's the example of interval data.

d) types of nucleic acids found in genetic material__ is just name of the nucleic acid..its the example of nominal data.

e) years of assassination of world leader can be defined by ratio data types. Because years can not be negative and it has numerical value . Otherwise if we arrange the years in ascending order then it can be defined by ordinal data. But its bit out of scenes .

Last one I left for you think it and define it . Study the definitions .
