1. The sub-environments of the market/task environment are:-
1. Competitors: this provides us with the competition factor that is present in the market.
2. Customers: this provides us with the value factor to the customers and at the same time their needs and requirements.
3. Suppliers: required to manufacture a product or a service.
4: Distributors: required to deliver a product or a service
5: Mass media: external factors which can potentially impact the state of the organization in the long run.
2. The powers that leaders should utilize are:-
1. Legitimate power: the power a leader has which allows them to utilize their position in the hierarchy in the form of a formal authority.
2. Reward power: the power a leader has which allows them to utilize rewards based on positive performance.
3. Expert power: this is the power a leader has which allows them to use their expertise in the field.
4. Referent power: this is the power that is based on the behaviour, charisma and/or other positive identifiable traits of the leader.
5. Coercive power: the power that a leader has in which they utilize punishment/deliver punishment.
