Expert Solution

Scrum: Scrum is an agile framework that facilitates/guides the completion of complex projects for the firms. Scrum was initially used for the software development work, but later it was found to be suitable for other complex problems as well.

Critique for the effectiveness of scrum at P2P:

The first thing which did not go well is the introduction of scrum at the P2P. They could not be able to manage the introduction of scrum at P2P properly so that they can get the benefit out of it. The culture at the P2P is not supporting the scrum approach. The team is not trained and developed on the concept of project management approach. The team themselves were managing the project, hence does not providing the opportunities for the project manager to explore his skills of project management. The team members do not have the faith and trust in the new process. I think P2P have not done a god job in training their employees on the new process and could not be able to develop the trust among them.

Successful:

P2P was able to execute the project with the help of methodology of scrum and to some extent they used this approach instead of the traditional approach.

The concept introduction of scrum at P2P is a good outcome and employees achieved the awareness of scrum as a tool which can be beneficial for the project management.

Unsuccessful: The deployment of collaboration with the team was not ok.

Team is not able to follow the scrum project management methodology and they would like to manage the project by their own.

The culture is not appropriate and not able to change as per the needs of the scrum methodology in P2P organization.

Best Choice for project management: No, it could not be the best choice for project management. It could be better choice for project management looking at the environment of project management at the P2P and the competency level of P2P employees. The introduction process for scrum should be managed well looking at the competency level of employees so that they get the better awareness and knowledge of the new process and then they can plan for the introduction of this scrum process at P2P.

Do characteristics of identity play a role in how successful/unsuccessful, accepted/rejected leadership ACTIONS are, within a situational context? Might a theory of adaptive leadership be tied more to participant perceptions of action? Is this a conversation of a more collective/inclusive course-of-action analysis based on how leadership presents itself in context? In lay-terms, is adaptive leadership a theory that says, leadership makes decision in a way that recognizes participant perceptions of leadership based on intersections of identity and the workplace?
