Expert Solution

Environmental ethics refers to the branch of ethics that studies the ethical relationship of human beings and natural environment. It usually contains criticisms of human's exploitative or abusive practices with regard to nature. It mainly influences a large range of disciplines including sociology, law, political and global schemes and economics.

Today the politicians in every nation are helping their nation in reducing the air pollution with the adoption of new innovative technologies. The United States Constitution's Commerce Clause represents one of Congress's most vital sources of legislative powers. The clause provides a protection to the public health and the environment, inclusive of the the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and the Endangered Species Act.

Moreover in today's as well as future era consumerism is the main cause of environmental pollution. The two primary effects of consumerism on the environment are environmental pollution and degradation. Due to the rapid growth in consumerism there is an increased extraction and exploitation of natural resources that results to the accumulation of waste and concentration of pollutants that damages the environment. Also consumption can also determine environmental dumping because most of the developed countries shift their heaviest polluting industries to less developed countries, thus shifting the pollution intensive goods produced elsewhere by developing countries. Protectionism gives an incentive to poor nations to improve the environmental standards and that free trade with richer countries is a reward to raise environmental standards.

The global schemes involves green marketing, also known as sustainable marketing and environmental marketing, refers to incorporate a broad range of activities, including designing, promoting, product modification, pricing, modifying advertising and distributing products that will not harm the environment. Such a services or product may be environmentally friendly in it or manufactured in sustainable fashion in an environmentally friendly manner. Moreover are designed to facilitate and generate any exchanges that intent to satisfy human requirements with minimal detrimental impact on the natural environment. These products and services avoid unnecessary waste; involving cruelty to animals; adversely affect other nations; use materials derived from threatened species or environments etc.

In my opnion, with effective controls we can save our environment from degradation with adoption of proper ethics
